"Sweet and Sour", 10" x 7", Original Watercolor Painting. This lovely Sunflowers in blue vase with Lemon still life, was done out my love for flowers. I LOVE loosly painted impressionistic florals done by a window, where some of the outside can come into the painting. I love sunflowers and was feeling that season wasn't quite long enough so if I painted them it would last forever. I hope you enjoy this piece of fine art, and if you'd like to purchase it, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you for stopping by and I hope you enjoy my work. It's been too long since I have updated my blog but will catch up soon.
I grew up in Pasadena, California, and have lived near the edge of the Arroyo my whole life. First with my parents and sister, and then later with my own family, with a son and three daughters. I had a happy and busy life. As the kids grew I also went back to school, earning my RN degree. I then worked at the hospital where I was born, as well as where I had my own children. I always had a desire to paint but never gave it much thought until one day...and the story goes from there. I became self taught until studying watercolor with, Nuttall, Wiegardt, Stoddard, and Swenson, some of the best. From there I went to Art Center College of Design, up on the hill, where I first learned of my passion to also paint in oil. I was signed up to take a workshop with, Charles Reid who is my very favorite artist in watercolor and oil. Since fall, I have been dealing with breast cancer so my desires to take certain classes have to go on the back burner for now. Just a bump in the road is all. I also have great admiration for the talent of Jeremy Lipking. I check out his work frequently and am in awe. He is really good..!!
