"Cashmere" 11" x 9", Original Watercolor Painting. This painting was inspired long ago and now just getting around to finally paint it. I love this rose and hope you enjoy looking at it. It is a well shaped, youthful rose with clean lines. I've had it in my mind for a long time and cannot find one, hence painting from my mind. Artists do that so I am not unusual in that. I hope you enjoy my impressionistic style of painting in the sylvan setting. It is AVAILABLE and if interested please send me a note to firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you, Ellie (Eleanor Erickson Hargrave, Artist)
I grew up in Pasadena, California, and have lived near the edge of the Arroyo my whole life. First with my parents and sister, and then later with my own family, with a son and three daughters. I had a happy and busy life. As the kids grew I also went back to school, earning my RN degree. I then worked at the hospital where I was born, as well as where I had my own children. I always had a desire to paint but never gave it much thought until one day...and the story goes from there. I became self taught until studying watercolor with, Nuttall, Wiegardt, Stoddard, and Swenson, some of the best. From there I went to Art Center College of Design, up on the hill, where I first learned of my passion to also paint in oil. I was signed up to take a workshop with, Charles Reid who is my very favorite artist in watercolor and oil. Since fall, I have been dealing with breast cancer so my desires to take certain classes have to go on the back burner for now. Just a bump in the road is all. I also have great admiration for the talent of Jeremy Lipking. I check out his work frequently and am in awe. He is really good..!!
