Boat on the Shore, Lyngdal, Norway, (Sold)

Boat on the Shore, Lyngdal, Norway, 12" x 16", Oil on canvas. I painted this from a photo sent to me by a friend. Both of our families originated from that end of the world, so I love painting pictures to remind me of my heritage. I suppose part of me will always be there because of the things I experienced while growing up. All of our special days and holidays centered around those customs. My Grandma said it best though one time when we went to Mount Wilson. She sat down on a big rock and looked at her tired feet, and said "Uffda". They were happy good people, honest and real. The price of this painting is $350. Contact me at arroyoelliestudios@sbcglobal.net. Thank you very much. Eleanor

Sailing in Balboa Harbor, 14" x 11", Oil on gallery canvas (On Consignment)

"Sailing in Balboa Harbor" began on a ferry boat ride from Balboa Island to the mainland. I was with my friend, with camera in hand. Click, click, click, and I knew this painting had begun. I hardly go anywhere without my camera, just like my own father took his Graflex. It's just the way of it when you have this gene in you. I look at this painting and it's like I am there. I see the boats, water, and the ferris wheel. I can feel the sea breeze on my face. The price is $400/free shipping. arroyoelliestudios@sbcglobal.net. Thank you very much, Eleanor

Nautical Reflections, 11" x 14", (Recently Sold)

Nautical Reflections, was a really fun oil to paint because of the beautiful colors and reflections in the water. I painted it from a picture I was given and it was the first time I had done an oil where the sails mirrored in the water. I love to paint nautical scenes and can almost feel as if I am there which makes it easier to visualize and put on canvas. This painting is available and if interested please contact me. arroyoelliestudios@sbcglobal.net. Thank you, Eleanor

Boats on the River Delta, 11" x 14", Oil on canvas

"Boats on the River Delta", was painted loosely from a photo I took with my trusty camera. It was Opening Day on the Delta, April 2007. I was with nice friends on the AVANTI, riding around on Dutch Slough in Bethel Island on a somewhat cloudy day. People were so hospitable that the weather didn't hamper a thing. Lunch at the San Joaquin Yacht Club, a formerly operational riverboat called The Sutter. That was a memorable day for sure, and I wanted to paint it to remember so many of those nice people. This painting is available and if interested please email me at arroyoelliestudios@sbcglobal.net Thank you very much for viewing my paintings and I hope you enjoy. Ellie
