"Sailing in Balboa Harbor" began on a ferry boat ride from Balboa Island to the mainland. I was with my friend, with camera in hand. Click, click, click, and I knew this painting had begun. I hardly go anywhere without my camera, just like my own father took his Graflex. It's just the way of it when you have this gene in you. I look at this painting and it's like I am there.
