"JUST THE TWO OF US", 8" x 8", Oil on Canvas. This painting transpired long ago when I was young and developed a love for boats. Particulariy sail boats with those billowy sails blowing in the wind. Just the nautical look is so clean and fresh to me. I painted this in my own impressionistic style which seems to come naturally to me somehow, for which I am grateful. "Strawberries", is a bright and whimsical oil painting. I have painted strawberries before because I love the look of them, and find the carton most interesting to paint. "DOCKED in BALBOA", was painted from a photo I took in Balboa. I love the nautical shores of Southern CA. and often had gone down there to shoot more pictures and get ideas. "All Tide Up", 6" x 6", Oil on Canvas. This boat painting came about while I was having a day at the beach, Alamitos Bay to be exact. We went to a hamburger cafe on the bay, and many would tie up their boats and come in and eat. The children would often come in their Sabots, which was a beautiful site to see. I wanted to paint this one using many different colors in the water and boats, using my own impressionistic style. I used Gamblin and Rembrandt artists oil paints and painted on a small canvas, trying to paint 30 paintings in 30 days for Leslie Saeta's painting challange, which will be fun and a great learning time. "COUSINS", 6" x 6", Oil on Canvas. This oil painting came to my mind as I walk through the produce section of the market and saw a huge display of beautiful apples. All kinds and colors, shining and waiting for me to put them in my basket. I chose three of my favorites, Gala, Delicious, and Pippin. I brought them home and arranged them in a ceramic dish, and started to paint. I used my Gamblin and Rembrandt artists oils and it was a fun time. "Sunny Sunflowers", 6" x 6", Oil on Canvas.  This oil painting of cheerful Sunflowers was painted yesterday as my first of 30 paintings I hope to do in 30 days. This challange was inspired by Leslie Saeta as a way of artists to join together to further learn and have fun.  She is just amazing and has a great talent and knowledge of marketing. I know it will be fun and I hope to learn something valuable.  I have painted this painting before from a photo I took of the still life. It was so cheerful and I wanted to paint it again, not something I usually do. I painted it in my own impressionistic style with Gamblin and Rembrandt artists oil paints. "Sweet and Sour", 10" x 7", Original Watercolor Painting.  This lovely Sunflowers in blue vase with Lemon still life, was done out my love for flowers.  I LOVE loosly painted impressionistic florals done by a window, where some of the outside can come into the painting. I love sunflowers and was feeling that season wasn't quite long enough so if I painted them it would last forever.
